What can you expect on one of our yoga holidays?!
Have you been thinking about booking onto one of yoga holidays but have a few questions about what to expect, etc? Check out our FAQs:
1) Q: Do you have to be an experienced or super bendy yoga practitioner?
A: No, not at all. We welcome yoga practitioners of all levels of experience and whether you’re naturally flexible or as stiff as a board, we’ll make the yoga suit your needs and ability. This is what ‘viniyoga’ is all about, ie, the appropriate application of yoga to the individual. We offer alternatives and modifications throughout the yoga practices.
2) Q: I’ll be travelling by myself. Will there be other single travellers too?
A: Yes! We often have people who come on their own. Our holidays are perfect for people travelling solo as they offer an opportunity to socialise with like minded people but also give you time to be by yourself as well.
3) Q: I have a gluten intolerance and I can’t eat dairy. I’m worried I won’t be able to eat anything.
A: We’re very passionate about food and we want you to enjoy every meal! As long as you let us know in advance we’ll ensure that the food is suitable for any dietary requirements you have. There’s nothing worse than being starving or getting an upset tummy when you’re on holiday!
4) Q: I like to have a glass of wine with my meal. Will this be okay?
A: Yes, of course. There is generally wine available for those who’d like some with the evening meal but of course we encourage responsible drinking!
5) Q: I’m a nervous traveller. Can you help me with booking my travel and transfers?
A: Of course we can! We can advise on travel options and let you know the flight/train that we’re taking so you can choose to travel with us if that works for you. We will also organise all the transfers for you.
6) Q: Do I have to attend all the yoga classes? I just know I might need a lie in one day as I’ve had a busy few months.
A: The classes are never super early and we’re not super strict, so if you want a lie in one day that’s fine with us.
7) Q: What else is there to do on the yoga holiday?
A: Well, that depends on which holiday you book.
Besides all the yoga, delicious food and chill out time…there might be guided walks, massage treatments, wine tasting at a vineyard, local culture, shopping excursions, or time on the beach. Take a look at each individual holiday to see what’s on offer.
Q: What’s the age group?
A: Good question. It really varies enormously from holiday to holiday. It could be any age between 22 and 82! (NB. We welcome anyone over the age of 18).
9) Q: I’m a bloke and I’m aware that there aren’t so many men that practice yoga. Will I be the only guy on the yoga holiday?
A: There are generally more ladies on our yoga holidays but on all of our holidays there will be both of us working together, so there’ll be at least one other guy there!
9) Q: Do I have to book in advance?
A: Yes and no! If you do it’ll guarantee the room of your choice on your preferred holiday and will allow you access to cheaper travel as booking in advance is generally a bit cheaper.
10) Q: I want to book now! What do I do?
A: Call, message or email us or use the form on our sister website https://www.livingyogaholidays.com/ and we’ll email you the booking forms and payment details.
